Tour to the Ruins of Pachacamac

According to archaeologists, Pachacamac was the most important pilgrimage center in ancient Peru. A holy place where hundreds of pilgrims arrived to pay tribute. Scholars believe people came here mainly to consult the oracle, who they thought could predict the future.

We will visit the Pachacamac Museum, which displays relics found at the site, as well as an idol representing Pachacamac God. Archaeologists discovered at the site large cemeteries, which can be seen from the top of the ruins.

This archaeological site comprises the Temple of the Sun, Temple of Pachacamac and the Palace of the Virgins of the Sun or Acllahuasi. The Acllahuasi was a name given to a particular group of women, who played an important role at the Pachacamac Temple.
