Nazca Lines Tours

Taking one of our Nazca Lines tours is a great addition to other tours you can take in Peru. They are some of the most unusual tourist attractions around. These huge figures and lines in the arid desert south of Lima attract thousands of visitors a year. They are located between the towns of Nazca and Palpa in the form of huge geoglyphs. They were made in the soil of the Nazca Desert and can only be fully appreciated from the air. Most scholars agree that the lines were created by the Nazca culture that flourished between 400 and 650 AD. The purpose of these lines is much debated.

The coastal strip south of Lima is not as well known as the more touristic areas like Cusco, Machu Picchu and Lake Titicaca. For those with a little more time, it’s well worth a visit. If you have 2 or 3 extra days, you can visit various places and attractions to the south of Lima. In addition to the Nazca Lines, there are a number of archaeological attractions nearby. The town of Ica with its excellent museums, the oasis of Huacachina, the pisco and wine vineyards and also the nearby Ballestas Islands can be visited on a personalized tour.
